Conservatories Manufactured & Installed In Swansea

A conservatory is the most wonderful way of creating a bright new living space as well as adding value to your home. Your conservatory is more than just an extension to your house, it can be somewhere to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your garden or a place to entertain, no matter what the weather!

With this in mind, there are numerous glass or solid roof options to consider giving you increased insulation in winter months and reduce temperatures in summer months.

Whether you are looking for a conservatory that is traditional in style or contemporary, Sapphire Windows can create whatever you have in mind.

Our glass, polycarbonate and solid roofs are available in a wide choice of finishes.

Conservatory Design Options
uPVC Edwardian Conservatory

Rectangular or square in form, the Edwardian has flat walls to maximise the amount of usable space.

One of its most attractive features is a ‘double hipped’ or sloping pitched roof. This gives your conservatory a delightful ‘vaulted’ effect, filled with natural light.

Taking its influence from period architecture, a uPVC Edwardian conservatory offers a simple, yet understated style designed to blend seamlessly with the rest of your home.

uPVC Victorian Conservatory

The Victorian conservatory design is one of the most popular in the UK, and with charm and style in abundance, it’s easy to see why.

Inspired by period architecture, our conservatories’ design echoes the attractive features and ornate finishing touches you’d expect from Victorian buildings.

It’s also available with 3 or 5 facets, making it easy to adapt to any space, from a large garden to a small patio.

uPVC Lean-To Conservatory

A lean-to conservatory is a simple, fuss-free building that often runs along the back of your property.

With a minimalist style and clean lines, it’s a simple way to link your interior space to your garden and maximise the space you have available.

It’s also one of the cheapest types of conservatories available on the market.

Despite this, a lean-to conservatory offers outstanding performance, giving you a space you can enjoy for years to come, whatever the weather.

uPVC Gable End Conservatory

If you’re looking for a conservatory that offers the perfect combination of light, space and outstanding performance, you won’t go far wrong with a gable-end.

With its roots in Georgian architecture, the design maximises the amount of available floor space, with a few external design flourishes added for good measure.

The most attractive feature of this style of conservatory is its front elevation, with the gable end enabling the windows to go right up to the apex of the roof, flooding your new space with natural light.

Orangeries

Orangeries offer an ideal way to add both light and space to any style of home, orangeries act as the perfect halfway point between full home extension and traditional glazed conservatory. Unlike standard conservatories, they feature robust, thicker pillars and a partially glazed roof which helps to create a welcoming and comfortable living space, allowing large amounts of natural daylight to enter.

Orangeries typically utilise more brickwork compared with a conservatory, feeling much more like a permanent addition to the home. More easily insulated to allow for use 365 days a year, they are characterised by a flat roof and atrium top. Internally, a deep pelmet with downlights help create a relaxing atmosphere.

Sapphire Windows Orangeries are available in a range of colours and woodgrain foil finishes, combining the added space of a conservatory with the sophistication and breath-taking style that only an orangery from us can offer.

Orangeries have become increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. A Sapphire Windows orangery can enhance your property and lifestyle.  Furthermore, they instantly create greater living space and give plenty of additional light.

The perfect blend of home extension and glazed conservatory

The popularity of orangeries is mainly because they are suitable to both modern and traditional properties. Orangeries are now typically the preferred option for modern glazed extensions. Especially for Kitchens & dining areas.

Roofing Options
Glass

We offer a range of glazing options in a variety of finishes and thickness. Glass can maximise light and noise.

Conservatory roof glass may also be chosen to keep itself clean while also keeping you cool in the heat of summer and warm in the chill of winter.

Polycarbonate

This can provide a cost effective solution to roof glazing. With 25 mm thickness it is available in different options: clear, bronze, opal, bronze opal and heatguard.

They differ in colour, light and solar transmission, u-value and shading efficiency.

Solid Tiled

Solid tiled roofs are lightweight, well insulated and provide the robust feel of an extension, whilst not losing the light and airy environment of a conservatory internally.

They’re available in a choice of colours to complement your home.

Case Study - Solid Tiled Conservatory Roof

Is your conservatory in need of an upgrade? Is it too cold in the winter? Is it too hot in the summer?

Typically, many dated conservatories are unusable all year round due to poor climate control. By refurbishing your conservatory, you can create a space that can be used anytime of the year, whatever the weather.

There are many refurbishment options, from replacing the roof only, replacing the roof, windows & doors, replacing existing with a modern sliding or bi-folding door, or a complete conservatory replacement.

We have found that it has become increasingly popular for customers to replace their existing conservatory roofs with solid roofs such as the two case studies below.
